found this while updating my portfolio... big interview tomorrow for a job doing the hand-drawn type for a whole foods opening in new haven... fingers crossed!
get going! your art's not gonna put itself on the internets hehe - also then i can online-stalk you with greater thoroughness and ease. its a full-time job, writing weekly specials, doing production work, occasional graphic design projects for ongoing events and so-forth. and it's a SALARY job!!! with a whole foods discount!!! zomg i want it so much... I'll find out pretty soon either way, but at least I think the interview went well!
sad news --- got such nice feedback from whole foods saying they love my work & my interview was really great, but one of the other candidates already has a lot of experience doing the exact same job at a different whole foods. MERRRR... the good news is, they liked me enough to ask if I would be available to do freelance work for them from time to time, which is probably the best way to get rejected... still bummed though - it seemed like a really awesome job.
With everybody on the job market today there are so many people that are perfectly and overly qualified for jobs. I know you'll find something great though! -jess
